Clearmind Medicine files patent for obesity and liver disease therapy

Clearmind Medicine Inc. (NASDAQ: CMND) filed an international patent application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty for a combination therapy targeting obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.

The Vancouver-based clinical-stage biotech company's patent application covers a combination of MEAI (5-methoxy-2-aminoindane and N-Acylethanolamines) and Palmitoylethanolamide. The therapy aims to address obesity, which affects over 890 million people worldwide according to the World Health Organization, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which impacts more than 30% of the global adult population.

The patent filing is part of Clearmind's collaboration with SciSparc Ltd. (NASDAQ: SPRC), a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing central nervous system disorder treatments.
