Cerenome picks XiFin for billing services on CNSide platform
CNSide Diagnostics, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cerenome, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNSY), has selected XiFin, Inc. to provide billing and clearinghouse services for its CNSide® Cerebrospinal Fluid Assay Platform, according to a press release.
Cerenome said it expects to begin billing through the XiFin Empower RCM platform during the third quarter of 2026, including submission of a backlog of previously performed CNSide® tests.
XiFin Empower RCM provides revenue cycle services for laboratory-developed tests, covering eligibility verification, coding and claims editing, electronic claims submission, denials and appeals management, patient billing, and financial reporting.
Andrew Sims, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cerenome, said in a statement: "With our contracted payer coverage now established and growing, XiFin gives us the billing and clearinghouse services to convert testing volume into cash collections."
The selection follows Cerenome's recent expansion of contracted commercial and Medicare Advantage coverage for CNSide®. The company said the combination of payer coverage and an automated revenue cycle platform is expected to improve clean claim rates and shorten days sales outstanding.
The CNSide® platform supports diagnosis and treatment monitoring for patients with leptomeningeal metastases. Since 2020, more than 11,000 CNSide® tests have been performed at over 120 U.S. cancer institutions.
