Cannabix Technologies appoints Omega Laboratories CEO to board

Cannabix Technologies Inc. (CSE: BLO) (OTC PINK: BLOZF) announced that William Corl, chief executive officer of Omega Laboratories Inc., has joined its board of directors. The appointment was ratified at the company's annual general meeting on July 24.

Corl brings 26 years of experience in diagnostic testing, media and radiology industries. He has worked for over 20 years in the drug screening industry and previously served as chair of the Laboratory and Drug Panel Standards for the Global Oil and Gas Industry Drug Testing Guidelines. He also advised the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime for the 2014 Guidelines for Testing Drugs under International Control in Hair, Sweat and Oral Fluid.

Omega Laboratories and Cannabix have maintained a strategic partnership since May 2024 to advance commercialization of Cannabix's Marijuana Breath Test technology. The Ohio-based laboratory has integrated breath testing using Cannabix Breath Cartridges into its testing protocols.

The companies are collaborating on marketing, distribution, manufacturing and logistics for the breath test device. Omega Laboratories specializes in forensic drugs of abuse testing and holds multiple international certifications for its facility.

Cannabix develops marijuana and alcohol breath testing technologies for workplaces and law enforcement. The company's breath testing focuses on detecting delta-9 THC, the primary psychoactive component in cannabis, to identify recent marijuana use.
