Caliber names Greg James as chief operating officer
Caliber (NASDAQ: CWD) appointed Greg James as chief operating officer, effective July 7. James replaced Ignacio Martinez in the role and was promoted from his previous position as COO of Caliber Hospitality Trust and head of hotel asset management.
James joined Caliber in October 2024 and brings over 34 years of experience in hotel operations and asset management. Before joining Caliber, he spent nearly two decades at Summit Hotel Properties (NYSE: INN), where he served as senior vice president of operations overseeing revenue strategy, asset management, data analytics, and hotel operations.
Chris Loeffler, CEO and co-founder of Caliber, said the promotion takes advantage of James's experience running a hotel investment portfolio of over 100 assets valued at $3.5 billion across 26 states. The company stated the realignment aligns with its objective of efficient capital use and generating positive adjusted EBITDA.
James began his career in 1991 with Marriott International, managing hotel operations at more than a dozen properties. He holds a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University.
Caliber is a real estate investor, developer, and manager with over $2.9 billion in managed assets. The company specializes in hospitality, multi-family residential, and multi-tenant industrial properties.
