CGI wins Texas state contract for government software and services

CGI Inc. (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) received a contract from the Texas Department of Information Resources to provide commercial off-the-shelf software and related services to state and local governments through the department's Cooperative Contracts Program.



The contract allows CGI to offer its CGI Advantage enterprise resource planning solution and CGI Transcend case management solution to eligible public sector organizations. CGI Advantage supports government operations including finance, human resources, budgeting and procurement, while CGI Transcend is designed for health and human services agencies.



CGI will also provide implementation, configuration, project management, business analysis and technical support services under the agreement.



"CGI is deepening its long-standing partnership with the State of Texas through this DIR cooperative contract," said Jaclyn Beerens, Vice-President, Consulting Services at CGI.



The contract is effective immediately and covers Texas state agencies, local governments, public education institutions and other public entities within Texas. Public entities outside Texas that have established cooperative purchasing agreements with the department are also eligible to use the contract.



Montreal-based CGI operates as one of the largest independent technology and professional services firms globally, with 94,000 consultants and professionals. The company reported revenue of CA$15.91 billion for fiscal 2025.



The contract number is DIR-CPO-5858, according to the company's statement.
