CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) announced it will serve as a technology partner to Oracle on a 10-year, nearly $400 million contract with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to modernize federal human resources IT systems.
The contract, which also includes Baker Tilly and Deloitte, aims to consolidate disparate federal HR systems into a single cloud-based platform for federal civilian employees. According to the press release, the consolidation is expected to reduce taxpayer costs by more than 90 percent.
CACI will support the development, deployment, and implementation of the Oracle Fusion HCM SaaS solution, which will include embedded artificial intelligence, standardized data exchange, and privacy and security protections.
"Modernizing federal human resources systems at this scale requires trusted technology partners and deep implementation experience," said John Mengucci, CACI President and Chief Executive Officer.
The companies previously worked together on the Army's Integrated Personnel and Pay System–Army (IPPS-A), which now supports more than 1.1 million soldiers. The CACI-Oracle partnership also includes work on the Global Combat Support System–Marine Corps, the Defense Agencies Initiative, and the U.S. Air Force's Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System.
