Bunker Hill Mining appoints Mark Child to board of directors

Bunker Hill Mining Corp. (TSX: BNKR | OTCQB: BHLL) announced the appointment of Mark Child as an independent non-executive director to its board of directors, effective May 6, 2026.



Child will serve on the company's Corporate Governance & Nomination, Audit and Compensation Committees. The company stated that production is expected to restart next month with a 1,800 tons per day processing plant producing critical minerals, with plans to expand to a 2,500 tons per day processing plant.



Child brings over 25 years of board-level and executive leadership experience across AIM, TSX, and HKSE-listed mining companies. He previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Condor Gold plc, where he led the development of the La India Gold Project in Nicaragua from exploration through feasibility and permitting. The project grew to a 2.4 million ounce gold mineral resource and reserve during his tenure.



In 2025, Child led the sale of Condor Gold plc to Metals Exploration plc for total consideration of up to $120 million. Throughout his career, he has raised more than £50 million in equity financing and secured strategic investments including from the International Finance Corporation.



Child's previous roles include Executive Director and Head of Corporate Finance at Regent Pacific Group Ltd. and advisory positions through his firm Axial Associates Limited. He began his career as a commissioned officer in the 2nd King Edward's Own Gurkha Rifles and is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.



Bunker Hill Mining is focused on restarting the historic Bunker Hill Mine in northern Idaho's Coeur d'Alene mining district, a silver, zinc, and lead deposit.
