BullFrog AI publishes white paper on data harmonization
BullFrog AI Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: BFRG; BFRGW) published a white paper titled "Data Harmonization: The Hidden Prerequisite for Reliable AI/ML in Life Sciences" on January 27. The paper discusses the company's bfPREP technology for processing biomedical data.
The white paper addresses challenges in applying artificial intelligence to pharmaceutical drug development. "The rush to apply AI in biopharma drug development has resulted in many AI initiatives that fail, not due to the algorithm, but due to the resulting analysis that reflect data processing idiosyncrasies rather than biology," said BullFrog AI Founder and CEO Vin Singh.
The company's bfPREP technology processes raw biomedical data into standardized formats for analysis. The white paper outlines a harmonization framework based on three components: engineering clinically meaningful derived features, producing categorical variables and harmonized schemas, and transforming unstructured clinical documents into analysis-ready tables.
BullFrog AI positions bfPREP as part of its analytical toolkit aimed at reducing clinical trial failure rates. Singh stated that the technology enables teams to spend less time processing data and more time interpreting results and making decisions.
The Gaithersburg, Maryland-based company uses artificial intelligence and machine learning for drug discovery and development. BullFrog AI operates its proprietary bfLEAP platform to analyze biological data through collaborations with research institutions.
The white paper is available for download through the company's announcement. The information is based on a press release statement from BullFrog AI Holdings Inc.
