Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO) announced it will integrate NVIDIA's latest AI technology into VMware Cloud Foundation, expanding support for NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and networking components.
The integration includes support for NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Server Edition GPUs and NVIDIA Blackwell B200 GPUs, which the company said will be supported in a future VMware Cloud Foundation release. The collaboration also incorporates NVIDIA ConnectX-7 network interface cards and NVIDIA BlueField-3 400G data processing units with DirectPath I/O capabilities.
"Our customers want the freedom to innovate with AI while continuing to rely on the enterprise platforms they trust," said Paul Turner, vice president of products at VMware Cloud Foundation Division, Broadcom. "Our partnership with NVIDIA delivers exactly that – enabling organizations to build, deploy and scale AI workloads alongside their existing applications without compromising on performance, efficiency, availability or operational simplicity."
The enhanced platform will allow enterprises and cloud service providers to deploy AI applications within private cloud environments while maintaining VMware Cloud Foundation's operational features including vMotion, High Availability, Distributed Resource Scheduler, and Live Patching capabilities.
Justin Boitano, vice president of Enterprise AI at NVIDIA, said the integration enables enterprises to "build and deploy powerful AI applications directly within their existing private cloud, using the full capabilities of the NVIDIA platform in combination with VMware Cloud Foundation."
The announcement was made during VMware Explore 2025 in Las Vegas. The integration builds on the companies' existing VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA collaboration.
