Brightstar Lottery signs five-year deal with Avanti for lottery games

Brightstar Lottery PLC (NYSE: BRSL) announced it has signed a five-year exclusive licensing agreement with Avanti Licensing, Inc. to develop and distribute omnichannel lottery games worldwide based on Avanti's greeting cards.
The agreement allows Brightstar to create instant tickets, draw-based games and eInstant games using Avanti's humor-based greeting card designs. Avanti, founded in 1980 and based in Detroit, produces greeting cards that are translated into more than 12 languages and sold worldwide.
"Making people smile is at the heart of what we do at Avanti, and we're excited to partner with Brightstar to bring the Avanti brand of fun to our customers and now to lottery players via these exciting games," said Chip Owen, Avanti Press EVP. "Our vast image library has universal appeal across geographies, generations and seasonal occasions."
Matthew Whalen, Brightstar Senior Vice President, Global Instant Ticket Services, said the company will combine its game design experience with Avanti's humor to develop the lottery products.
Avanti and Brightstar were connected through Avanti's licensing agency, Lisa Marks Associates. The greeting card company describes itself as the original Global Humor Brand, known for character-driven cards with universal appeal.
Brightstar operates as a global lottery company providing technology solutions and lottery games to customers worldwide. The company has approximately 6,000 employees and trades on the New York Stock Exchange.
