BriaCell receives New Zealand patent for whole cell cancer technology

BriaCell Therapeutics Corp. (NASDAQ: BCTX, BCTXW, BCTXZ) (TSX: BCT) announced it received New Zealand Patent No. 785587 for its whole-cell cancer immunotherapy technology. The patent, titled "WHOLE-CELL CANCER VACCINES AND METHODS FOR SELECTION THEREOF," covers methods for selecting the company's whole-cell cancer immunotherapy based on HLA allele profile matching.

The patent provides exclusivity through February 27, 2037, according to the company's statement. The technology aims to personalize immunotherapy treatments by matching patients' HLA profiles with appropriate whole-cell cancer vaccines.
