Blue Moon Metals Inc. (TSXV: MOON, NASDAQ: BMM) has received the environmental permits and regulatory approvals needed to begin construction at its Springer tungsten project in Pershing County, Nevada.
The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection transferred the Water Pollution Control Permit and the Reclamation Permit into the company's name, and the project's reclamation closure bond has been approved and posted. According to the company, these are the principal state environmental authorizations for mine development in Nevada.
The Nevada Division of Water Resources' Dam Safety Section granted formal approval of a Notice of Construction on Aug. 18, 2026, allowing construction of the tailings storage facility to begin. The tailings storage facility plans had previously been approved by the Nevada State Engineer, and the company completed an independent third-party engineering review before filing the notice.
With the permits in place, Blue Moon is authorized to commence construction activities at Springer, including refurbishment of the existing mill.
Christian Kargl-Simard, CEO of Blue Moon, said the company is "on-track for a late 2027 startup, bringing tungsten production back to the United States."
Blue Moon acquired the Springer project in February 2026. The company also holds four other brownfield polymetallic projects in Norway and the United States.
