Blue Gold signs non-binding term sheets for producing mine acquisitions
Blue Gold Limited (NASDAQ: BGL, NASDAQ: BGLWW) announced it has entered into multiple non-binding term sheets with independent mining companies to acquire all, or substantially all, of their operating businesses, according to a press release.
The agreements were executed over the past 30 days. Each proposed acquisition involves an established operating mining business with existing or historic production and experienced operating teams. The company stated each target carries the prospect of near-term positive cash flow.
Blue Gold said it believes completing any one of the proposed transactions could materially increase its operating scale and generate near-term operating profit sufficient to substantially cover corporate overhead.
Andrew Cavaghan, CEO of Blue Gold, said in the statement: "These acquisitions have the potential to substantially accelerate our evolution into a diversified, cash-flow-generating gold producer while establishing a strong foundation for the Company's long-term growth."
The company also stated it continues to pursue a compensation claim against the Government of Ghana, which it describes as a component of its broader strategy.
The term sheets are non-binding, and there is no assurance any of the proposed transactions will be completed.
