Blade Air Mobility Inc. (NASDAQ: BLDE) announced that its legal name change to Strata Critical Medical Inc. is expected to occur on August 28, 2025. The company's common stock will begin trading under the new ticker symbol "SRTA" on the Nasdaq Capital Market starting August 29, 2025, with public warrants trading under "SRTAW".
The name change reflects the company's plan to focus on providing logistics and medical services to hospitals and healthcare providers following the previously announced sale of its passenger business to Joby Aviation Inc. The company describes itself as one of the largest transporters of human organs for transplant.
The company's website will transition from www.blade.com to www.stratacritical.com beginning August 29, 2025. Blade is based in New York City and operates using an asset-light model with exclusive passenger terminal infrastructure and proprietary technologies.
The information was provided in a company press release statement.
