Bimbo Bakeries USA moves headquarters from Pennsylvania to Dallas
Bimbo Bakeries USA announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters from Horsham, Pennsylvania, to Dallas, Texas. The company's senior leadership team and other positions are already operating from the new headquarters at 5525 MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, Texas.
The baking company cited Dallas' central location and proximity to parent company Grupo Bimbo's office in Mexico City as factors in the decision. Bimbo USA already operates multiple bakeries, sales centers and distribution facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
"Relocating our headquarters to Dallas positions us to operate more efficiently as we continue to invest in our brands and our communities," said Greg Koehrsen, President.
Bimbo USA entered the Texas market in 1998 through Grupo Bimbo's acquisition of Mrs. Baird's Bakery. The company now operates facilities throughout Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
The company will maintain a presence in the Philadelphia area through its Conshohocken Sales Center and regional operations. Bimbo USA had been headquartered in the greater Philadelphia region for 17 years.
Bimbo Bakeries USA operates more than 50 manufacturing locations in the United States and employs over 20,000 associates. The company produces brands including Arnold, Ball Park, Entenmann's, Sara Lee, and Thomas'. It is owned by Mexico's Grupo Bimbo, which the company describes as the world's largest baking company with operations in 39 countries.
