Auddia shifts to B2B model targeting artists and labels

August 20, 2025 6:00 AM EDT

Auddia Inc. (NASDAQ: AUUD) announced a shift from business-to-consumer to business-to-business operations, focusing on artists and labels rather than individual subscribers for its faidr streaming app.

The company will make its AI-driven ad-free AM/FM streaming features free for consumers while charging artists and labels a monthly subscription fee for guaranteed radio plays through its new Discovr Radio platform. The service aims to place new music from artists into radio feeds using AI technology.

"Since running a pilot of our Discovr Program, where we sourced a handful of new artists and inserted them into radio feeds, we've been looking for more ways to connect artists with new fans," said Theo Romeo, Auddia's chief marketing officer.

The Discovr Radio platform will include an AI Placement Engine and Artist Portal. The engine will position songs within radio streams, while the portal will provide artists with performance analytics including play counts, listener demographics, and fan connection tools. Music from new artists and deep tracks from established artists are expected to comprise up to 33% of stream content.

Auddia plans to release a minimum viable product version of the Discovr Radio platform by the end of 2025 or first quarter of 2026, supported by a pilot program with participating labels and distributors.

The company's internal research indicates a serviceable addressable market of over 100 million prospects. While faidr will be the first app integrated into the platform, Auddia plans to open the service to other radio streaming applications.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
