Auddia Inc. (NASDAQ: AUUD) announced it has made its faidr mobile app completely free for all users, removing previous subscription requirements for premium features including ad-free AM/FM streaming and manual song skipping.
The Boulder, Colorado-based company said the move supports its transition to a business-to-business model where artists and labels will pay to have their music featured on mainstream radio station streams through its Discovr Radio platform.
Auddia expects to complete integration of Discovr Radio into the faidr app by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025 to early first quarter of 2026. The company anticipates receiving its first B2B revenue from select labels and artists in the first quarter of 2026.
The Discovr Radio platform will use Auddia's AI Artist Discovery Engine to match new music to listener preferences and provide artists with plays during traditional advertising slots. Artists will access analytics through a dedicated portal.
"Making faidr free marks a turning point for Auddia and for radio listeners," said Theo Romeo, the company's chief marketing officer. "We're giving everyone access to premium, ad-free listening powered by our proprietary AI."
Chief Executive Jeff Thramann said the company believes "the future of radio streaming lies at the intersection of AI, personalization, and artist empowerment."
The faidr app will serve as the first application integrated into the new Discovr Radio platform at launch. Users will be able to like or dislike songs in real time and visit artist pages within the app.
Auddia plans to launch the platform in the first quarter of 2026 through a pilot program with early participation from select labels and artists.
