Arm expands use of Arteris security tool across CPU designs

Arteris, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIP) announced an expanded partnership with Arm to broaden the use of its Cycuity Radix hardware security assurance product across additional Arm processor development programs, according to a company press release.
Arm engineering teams had previously used Cycuity Radix on select CPU designs. Under the expanded agreement, Arm will integrate the tool into a wider range of next-generation processor programs to identify and address security vulnerabilities during the design phase rather than after chip delivery.
The process involves architectural and micro-architectural security risk assessments that evaluate critical assets against known threat models. Automation and cross-CPU reuse of security properties are intended to keep the verification process scalable across Arm's CPU portfolio.
"Through our work with Arteris, we are strengthening our security assurance processes across our CPU portfolio, helping ensure developers can deploy secure, high-performance, energy-efficient compute with greater confidence from cloud to edge," said Lyndon Fawcett, head of product security at Arm.

Arteris, based in Campbell, Calif., develops semiconductor interconnect and security assurance technology. Financial terms of the expanded agreement were not disclosed.
