Anthropic valued at $380 billion in latest $30 billion funding round
Investing.com -- Anthropic announced Thursday it has raised $30 billion in Series G funding led by GIC and Coatue, valuing the AI company at $380 billion post-money.
The funding round was co-led by D. E. Shaw Ventures, Dragoneer, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, and MGX, with participation from numerous other investors including BlackRock, JPMorganChase, Microsoft, and NVIDIA.
"Whether it is entrepreneurs, startups, or the world's largest enterprises, the message from our customers is the same: Claude is increasingly becoming more critical to how businesses work," said Krishna Rao, Anthropic's Chief Financial Officer.
The company reported its run-rate revenue has reached $14 billion, growing more than 10x annually for each of the past three years since earning its first dollar less than three years ago. The number of customers spending over $100,000 annually on Claude has increased sevenfold in the past year, with over 500 customers now spending more than $1 million annually on an annualized basis.
Anthropic's Claude Code product, launched to the general public in May 2025, has seen its run-rate revenue grow to over $2.5 billion, more than doubling since the beginning of 2026. Business subscriptions to the service have quadrupled since the start of the year, with enterprise use now representing over half of all Claude Code revenue.
"Anthropic is the clear category leader in enterprise AI, demonstrating breakthrough capabilities and setting a new standard for safety, performance, and scale that will drive their long-term success," said Choo Yong Cheen, Chief Investment Officer, Private Equity, GIC.
Anthropic's main competitor, OpenAI, is reportedly in talks to raise up to $100 billion in additional capital at a potential valuation of $830 billion, according to Wall Street Journal reporting from last month.
