Anthropic adds finance plugins and cross-app workflows to Claude Enterprise

Anthropic announced updates to its Claude Enterprise AI platform, adding finance-specific plugins and functionality that allows the system to work across Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications while maintaining context between programs.

The company introduced five finance plugins covering financial analysis, investment banking, equity research, private equity, and wealth management workflows. The plugins are designed to support tasks such as reviewing transaction documents, building comparable company analyses, parsing earnings transcripts, and generating portfolio rebalancing recommendations.

Claude can now move between Excel and PowerPoint without losing context, enabling users to retrieve data, update financial models, and create presentations in a single session. An equity analyst can ask Claude to analyze earnings, update a financial model, and build a summary slide without switching between applications.

The cross-application functionality is available in research preview for all paid plans on Mac and Windows systems. Users can download add-ins for Claude in Excel and Claude in PowerPoint to access the feature.

Anthropic also added new Model Context Protocol connectors for FactSet and MSCI data platforms. The FactSet connector provides access to real-time market data, fundamental analysis, and earnings estimates. The MSCI connector enables users to access index data, performance metrics, and constituent information.

Partner companies LSEG and S&P Global developed their own plugins for the platform. The S&P Global plugin integrates Capital IQ Pro data, while the LSEG plugin provides access to market data and analytics for users with active data entitlements.

The Anthropic-developed plugins are available in the company's public finance plugin repository and can be customized for specific organizational workflows and terminology, according to the company's statement.
