Anteris Technologies Global Corp. (NASDAQ: AVR) announced it completed a $90 million strategic investment from Medtronic plc (NASDAQ: MDT), combined with an underwritten public offering for $320 million in total gross proceeds.

The structural heart device company said the funding will support its global pivotal PARADIGM trial and advance commercialization of its DurAVR Transcatheter Heart Valve. Wells Fargo Securities served as sole placement agent for the Medtronic investment.

"This strategic investment, along with our underwritten offering of common stock, represent an important milestone for our company," said Wayne Paterson, Anteris Vice Chairman and CEO. The investment represents one aspect of a collaboration that may expand into other strategic areas, according to the company.

Jorie Soskin, Vice President and General Manager of Medtronic's Structural Heart business, stated the investment supports "differentiated innovation like the DurAVR THV technology — which has the potential to offer improved valve performance in a balloon-expandable platform."

The PARADIGM Trial is a randomized controlled study that will evaluate the DurAVR valve's safety and effectiveness compared to commercially available transcatheter aortic valve replacements. The trial plans to enroll approximately 1,000 patients with 1:1 randomization and will assess a primary composite endpoint of all-cause mortality, stroke and cardiovascular hospitalization at one year.

Anteris reported that patient enrollment and implantation began during the fourth quarter of 2025. The Brisbane, Australia-based company develops medical devices for structural heart disease, with its DurAVR valve designed to treat aortic stenosis using its ADAPT anti-calcification tissue technology.

The information is based on a company press release.
