Anheuser-Busch invests $15 million in St. Louis brewery operations

August 19, 2025 7:09 AM EDT

Anheuser-Busch (NYSE: BUD) announced a $15 million investment in its St. Louis brewery as part of its previously disclosed $300 million commitment to U.S. manufacturing jobs, according to a company statement.

The investment includes funding for supply chain infrastructure to transport American-grown ingredients to the brewery and distribute products to customers. The company also plans to open its Technical Excellence Center training facility in St. Louis to local trade schools in partnership with the National Association of Manufacturers' Manufacturing Institute.

The training facility, which opened in 2022, offers over 35 courses and has trained more than 2,000 employees. This marks the first time Anheuser-Busch will provide access to the facility beyond its own workforce.

Additionally, the company is expanding its digital credentialing system that translates military experience into manufacturing skills to encourage veteran employment.

"At Anheuser-Busch, we believe the future of American manufacturing begins right in our hometown," said CEO Brendan Whitworth. "Missouri's recently-enacted American Beer Act will enable brewers like us to bring meaningful investments to our hometown of St. Louis and across the state for decades to come."

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe said the investment "reinforces Missouri's position as a leader in American innovation and industry."

The announcement follows recent investments in other facilities including $9 million in Baldwinsville, New York, $17 million in Houston, Texas, and improvements in Columbus, Ohio; Fort Collins, Colorado; and Williamsburg, Virginia.
