AmpliTech lands $21.7M order, pushing backlog above $51M
AmpliTech Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMPG, AMPGZ) announced it received a $21.7 million follow-on purchase order for its 5G O-RAN radio products, which the company said represents the largest single purchase order in its history.
The order is tied to deployments for an unnamed Asian mobile network operator under a previously announced $78 million 5G O-RAN radio Letter of Intent program. Cumulative purchase orders under that program have reached approximately $34 million, representing roughly 44% of the original letter of intent value.
The new order brings AmpliTech's total company backlog to more than $51 million, which the company also described as a record.
"This record $21.7 million purchase order represents another important milestone in the execution of our Asian MNO 5G deployment program," said Fawad Maqbool, founder and CEO of AmpliTech Group. "From the outset we have communicated that large-scale telecommunications deployments progress through multiple stages, from initial agreements and customer evaluations to purchase orders and commercial deployment."
AmpliTech, based in Hauppauge, N.Y., designs, develops, and manufactures RF microwave components, 5G communication systems, and quantum computing low-noise amplifiers. The information in this article is based on a press release issued by the company.
