Almonty Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: ALM) (TSX: AII) (ASX: AII) appointed Guillaume Wiesenbach de Lamaziere as chief development officer to lead corporate development strategy and execution, the tungsten producer announced.
Wiesenbach de Lamaziere brings over 30 years of financial and capital markets experience. At Banque AIG in Paris, he served as CEO and COO/CFO, leading the de-licensing of the bank over four years while reducing a portfolio of derivatives and structured products from $300 billion to $1 billion and returning over $2 billion of capital to the parent company.
His previous roles included positions at Natixis Capital Markets, Goldman Sachs, and Arthur Andersen. He holds an MBA from Texas A&M University and a finance degree from Burgundy School of Business in France, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
"With active mining operations now beginning at our Sangdong Tungsten Mine, we are privileged to welcome Guillaume and his wealth of experience with some of the largest global financial companies," said Lewis Black, chairman and chief executive officer of Almonty.
The appointment comes as Almonty advances operations at its Sangdong and Panasqueira mines and develops its South Korean Sangdong Molybdenum Project and U.S.-based Gentung Browns Lake Project.
