Allied Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: AP.UN) filed its management information circular for its annual unitholders meeting scheduled for May 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. The meeting will be held virtually via live audio webcast.

The Toronto-based real estate investment trust announced that Chief Financial Officer Nanthini Mahalingam will depart the company. She will remain in her role until October 30, 2026, to facilitate the transition to a new CFO. Allied has retained executive search firm Egon Zehnder for the CFO search process.

The company nominated Mario Barrafato for election as a trustee at the upcoming meeting. Barrafato brings 25 years of experience in the Canadian public REIT sector, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer of Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust until March 2025. He previously held senior finance roles with DREAM Office REIT, DREAM Industrial REIT and DREAM Unlimited.

Current trustee Antonia Rossi will not stand for re-election at the meeting. Executive Chair Michael Emory's employment agreement will not be renewed on May 2, 2026, and he will not seek re-election as a trustee.

Following these changes, the board will be reduced to eight members, seven of whom are independent. Lead Trustee Jennifer Tory will assume the role of Board Chair.

"I have worked with Nanthini for over nine years at Allied and I want to personally thank her for her contributions, dedication and commitment to a successful transition," said Allied President and CEO Cecilia Williams in the press release.

The management information circular is available on Allied's website and has been filed under the company's SEDAR+ profile.
