Aclaris Therapeutics added to NASDAQ Biotechnology Index

Aclaris Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: ACRS) has been added to the NASDAQ Biotechnology Index (NASDAQ: NBI), effective at the close of trading on December 19, 2024, according to a company statement.

The clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focuses on developing product candidates for immuno-inflammatory diseases. Aclaris is based in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

The NBI tracks the performance of securities listed on The NASDAQ Stock Market that are classified as biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies according to the Industry Classification Benchmark. Companies must meet specific eligibility requirements, including minimum market capitalization, average daily trading volume and seasoning as a public company.

The index is evaluated annually in December and calculated using a modified capitalization-weighted methodology.
