AXT appoints Tracy Liu to its board of directors

AXT, Inc. (Nasdaq: AXTI), a compound semiconductor wafer substrate manufacturer, announced the appointment of Tracy Liu to its board of directors, effective June 17, 2026, expanding the board to five members from four.
Liu brings more than 30 years of experience in business advisory, tax strategy, and accounting, including 10 years with Big Four public accounting firms and more than 20 years advising public and private companies. She has worked with high-technology and semiconductor companies in Silicon Valley and the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on international tax planning, cross-border operations, and regulatory matters in the United States and China.
Liu currently serves as an independent director and chair of the audit committee of ACM Research, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACMR). She previously served as chairperson of the supervisory board of ACM Shanghai until that requirement ended. She holds a master's degree in accounting with a specialization in taxation and a bachelor's degree in computer science, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Morris Young, chief executive officer of AXT, said: "Tracy is very knowledgeable and experienced about operating internationally, including in China, and combines her broad experience in financial matters with strategic planning for companies like AXT."
AXT manufactures indium phosphide, gallium arsenide, and germanium substrate wafers, with headquarters in Fremont, California and manufacturing facilities in China.
