AMTD acquires four hotels for $207 million, expects revenue boost
AMTD Group Inc. and its affiliated entities announced the completion of four hotel acquisitions totaling approximately $207 million, with the group expecting a positive contribution to consolidated revenue for the first half ending June 30, 2026.
The acquired properties are The Ritz-Carlton Perth, AMTD IDEA Tribeca Hotel in New York, AMTD Dao by Dorsett Hornsey in London, and AMTD IDEA KL Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The announcement was made jointly by AMTD IDEA Group (NYSE: AMTD; SGX: HKB), AMTD Digital Inc. (NYSE: HKD), and The Generation Essentials Group (NYSE: TGE; LSE: TGE), a subsidiary of AMTD Digital.
Combined with two previously held properties — iclub AMTD Sheung Wan Hotel in Hong Kong and Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore, acquired in 2019 — the group's hotel portfolio now totals close to 1,000 rooms across major cities on four continents, operating under the AMTD Hotels Group segment.
According to the press release, the revenue increase in the hospitality segment is primarily attributed to the consolidation of the newly acquired assets and their financial performance. The group stated it plans to pursue additional hotel acquisitions globally.
