ACI Worldwide and dLocal partner on Latin America payment methods

ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW) and dLocal (NASDAQ: DLO) announced a partnership that gives global merchants access to local payment methods in Brazil and Mexico through the ACI Payments Orchestration Platform, according to a press release from the companies.

Merchants can process transactions using six local payment methods across the two markets, including Pix, PicPay, Mercado Pago and NuPay in Brazil, and Mercado Pago, OXXO and SPEI in Mexico. The companies said expansion into Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru is planned for a future phase.

The integration allows merchants to access dLocal's local payment network through a single connection to ACI's platform. ACI's platform also includes transaction routing, fraud prevention and payments intelligence tools.

Brazil's Pix instant payments system has more than 170 million users, according to the Central Bank of Brazil. Alternative payment methods, including e-wallets, real-time bank transfers and instant payment schemes, account for around 50% of online transactions across Latin America, according to dLocal's Emerging Markets Payments Handbook 2025.

"Through our partnership with dLocal, merchants can access the payment methods consumers trust in each market while continuing to orchestrate payments on their own terms," said Vlademir Santos, head of sales Brazil at ACI Worldwide.

"By combining our deep local payments coverage and regional knowledge with ACI's world-class orchestration infrastructure, we give merchants the best of both: the reach to win locally and the control to scale globally," said Horacio Raviolo, head of commercial partnerships at dLocal.
