June 23, 2026 5:12 PM EDT

8x8, Inc. (NASDAQ: EGHT) disclosed that an unauthorized third party exploited an integration between Klue Labs, Inc. and 8x8's Salesforce customer relationship management system, resulting in the exfiltration of customer data.

According to a filing based on the company's press release, the unauthorized access occurred between June 11 and 12, 2026, and was discovered on June 13, 2026. Upon discovery, 8x8 and Klue, with support from Salesforce, disabled the compromised integration and removed the unauthorized access.

The threat actor accessed competitively sensitive information about current, former, and prospective customers, including fragmented contract and opportunity information, sales team notes, and contact information such as names, business addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.

8x8 stated the incident was isolated to information stored in its Salesforce system that was accessible through the Klue integration. The company said its ability to serve customers has not been impacted and its information systems remain operational.

The company is in the process of notifying relevant regulatory authorities. While 8x8 determined the incident is reportable under Item 1.05 of Form 8-K, it said the incident is not expected to have a material impact on its operations, financial condition, or results of operations. The company said it continues to investigate the extent of the incident and is implementing additional security measures.
