Nomura Securities analyst Anthony DiClemente lowered his price target on Neutral-rated Twitter, Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) to $47.00 (from $52.00) following Q1 results.
DiClemente comments, "On one hand, Twitter reported 1Q revenue results above our and Street estimates; in addition, 2Q guidance was slightly ahead of plan, and full-year guidance was raised. On the other hand, monthly active user (MAU) and timeline views metrics were below expectations, and because these metrics are thought to be indicative of Twitter’s longer-term TAM, they matter. While we are constructive on ad revenue demand and pricing, given Twitter’s lofty valuation multiples, we await upside to user growth metrics and/or a further correction before possibly becoming more constructive on the stock."
