Shares of Quest Software (Nasdaq: QSFT) are up more than 9.5 percent Wednesday morning amid earlier news the company's "go-shop" period ended with multiple proposals being brought to the table. The initial offer came from Insight Venture Partners at $23 per share in cash.
Wunderlich's Brian Freed believes Quest will likely be taken out somewhere around $24.50-$26 per share. He sees strategic bidders as: Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL), Dell (Nasdaq: DELL), IBM (NYSE: IBM) or Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT).
The analyst maintians a Hold rating and $24.50 price target on Quest Software shares.
The stock last traded at $24.99.
