Wells Fargo analyst Trey Bowers downgraded Genius Sports Ltd. (NYSE: GENI) from Overweight to Equal Weight with a price target of $8.00.
The analyst comments "Downgrade GENI to EW on what we view as little room for execution error, a show-me story still on FCF and a mix shift to a lower-multiple business with the Legend deal, as we take a more cautious approach on the Digital Gaming sector. Rating to EW. We published extensively on GENI since we launched coverage. We published 14 notes since our upgrade to OW in January, but the Legend deal transformed the story. We did not downgrade GENI post the announcement of the Legend acquisition as we wanted to better understand the Deal. However, we need to see more proof on Legend as a long- term value creator. We continue to favor the 'core' GENI business; especially BetVision and the potential Prediction Market tailwinds."
