Raymond James analyst David Long raised the price target on Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) to $84.00 (from $78.00) while maintaining a Strong Buy rating.
The analyst comments "We reiterate our Strong Buy rating on WFC shares as we make our first increase to our EPS estimates following the removal of the asset cap (LINK). We believe the medium-to-long term impacts from the asset cap removal will be material, and anticipate positive EPS revisions over the next month due to a larger balance sheet and higher trading and investment banking revenue; we netted to a 4% increase to our 2026 EPS estimate. We remain bullish on WFC shares with several positive catalysts on the horizon, including superior EPS growth and improved profitability."
