UBS analyst Michael Lasser raised the price target on US Foods (NYSE: USFD) to $127.00 (from $117.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst comments "We think USFD put together a pretty solid set of results up and down the P&L as it navigated tough backdrops in food away from home and fuel. Its 5.0% organic independent case growth represented its strongest pace of growth since 4Q’23, with the distributor benefitting from balanced demand across the period. Its transition to its 100% variable compensation model has gone smoothly thus far, and the company continues to see outsized demand for its Pronto offering. While there were some pieces of pushback, with the company’s all in case growth of 1.9% trailing the 2.0% consensus and its EBITDA growth being supported in part by fuel surcharge timing, we think there were more positives than negatives with the quarter overall. We raise our price target to $127 from $117 and maintain our Buy rating."
