UBS upgraded Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) from Neutral to Buy with a price target of $72 (from $55). Analyst John Janedis said he thinks Disney's parks are under-appreciated and is positive on the company's recent investments in Marvel and Lucasfilm. He is predicting an upward, multi-year "EPS revision cycle".
"We are raising our F13, F14 and F15 EPS to $3.50, $4.14, and $4.76 from our prior $3.40/ $3.80/ $4.22. Our est. changes incl. a $0.03/ $0.07 benefit from incr. retrans/ reverse as we now think DIS can achieve $500M/ $650M in annual fees in F14/ F15, respectively. In the parks segment, we are raising our margin targets as we believe the majority of opening/ start up costs from recent projects are behind DIS, allowing for increased rev growth to fall to the bottom line starting in C3Q13," said Janedis.
