Stifel analyst David Ross downgraded CSX (NASDAQ: CSX) from Buy to Hold with a price target of $92.00 (from $88.00).
The analyst comments "CSX reported 4Q20 adjusted EPS of $1.04, ahead of the Street consensus estimate of $1.01 but in-line with our estimate, as we expected solid results, given the healthy volume growth we saw during the quarter. The 57.0% operating ratio (OR) was 50bp better than the Street but in-line with our model. The company continues to execute well with above-average growth in a challenging labor environment. Were it not for the COVID-related issues leading to temporary staffing shortages, we believe service, volume, and margins could've been even higher in 4Q20. Even so, we're lowering our rating to Hold due to valuation."
