Ladenburg Thalmann initiates coverage on CM Finance (NASDAQ: CMFN) with a Neutral rating.
Analyst Chris Nolan comments "Going forward, we believe CMFN’s earnings should benefit incrementally from a rise in interest rates and starting in May 2019 perhaps higher debt leverage limits given CMFN’s board has recently approved that. However, we believe these are already factored into current share price valuations and at this point we are cautious this will deliver improved shareholder returns. Thus, we do not see a case for multiple expansion in the next 12 months. While we view CMFN's 10.2% dividend yield as attractive, we believe it alone is not sufficient to warrant a higher rating."
