UBS analyst Patrick Wood initiates coverage on Integra LifeSciences (NASDAQ: IART) with a Neutral rating and a price target of $19.00.
The analyst comments "We initiate coverage of IART with a Neutral rating and a $19 price target. Despite recent regulatory and operational difficulties and a historically high leverage profile, IART's fundamental building blocks are relatively sound: IART is a category leader across end- markets that are themselves structural MSD growers, so the Street's expectations on organic numbers (+2-3% from 3Q26 onward) look feasible, in our eyes, and likely don't require further share gains or above-market execution. Additionally, steady R&D investment (approx. an average of 5.3% of sales, over the last five-years) should help secure growth, and with peak ship-hold disruption behind it, IART's compliance foundation is materially firmer than it was a year ago, which removes a key source of downside risk. On the balance sheet, we think several of the heaviest cash outflows (e.g. the strong inventory build) are entering a period of normalization, and a debt stack that skews fixed (via hedges) makes the forward FCF and deleveraging path more predictable. Overall, our read is that IART has a difficult pathway, with a debt load that caps upside, but one we think is manageable."
