RBC Capital analyst Mark Mahaney raised his price target on Twitter, Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) to $55.00 (from $47.00) following better-than-expected Q4 results while maintaining a Sector Perform rating.

"TWTR reported stronger-than-expected Q4 P&L results, though User metrics continue to underwhelm," the analyst commented.

Fundamentals were strong but netrics not as strong, the analyst noted: Fundies: 97% Y/Y Rev growth in Q4, with EBITDA margin up 1,100bps Y/T to 30% (a VERY good showing). TWTR’s Q1 outlook implies a robust 80%+ top-line growth. Metrics: 1) 288MM MAUs came in shy of the Street @ 292MM, with U.S. flat Q/Q, though the company said Q1 should revert to 2014 Net Add levels; 2) 182B Timeline Views came in just ahead of the Street @ 179B, with engagement levels (Time Line Views / MAU) ever-so-slightly declining Q/Q; and 3) Monetization increased 60% Y/Y.

‘15 Revenue increases 5% to $2.34B, while EBITDA increases 17% to $576MM
