Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) remains in favor with teens, in the opinion of analysts at Topeka Capital. Comments follow an informal survey and contradicts reports that raised concerns about teen use. Previous reports said teens were "bailing" on Facebook.
"We conducted an informal, unscientific, but empirically sound survey of 23 New York City teenagers about their social media habits. Surprisingly, their usage of Facebook appears to contradict data from comScore, investor panels, and comments from popular blogs that teens are fleeing Facebook," said analyst Victor Anthony.
Anthony thinks investors should conduct their own survey and spend time with teenagers.
“You may see what we saw,” concluded Anthony,”that is, Facebook remains in favor with teenagers, and is used along with other platforms.”
