Oppenheimer analyst Andrew Uerkwitz weighed in on TASER International (NASDAQ: TASR) following Q1 results, which he called "solid."
Uerkwitz commented, "TASER reported a solid first quarter (in a normally seasonally low 1Q) with beats all around: revenue/EPS of $44.8M/$0.13 vs. our $42.7M/$0.08 forecasts and vs. the Street's $40.0M/$0.06E. While physical camera sales and bookings dipped slightly sequentially (as expected), EVIDENCE.com revenues continued their trajectory, up 30%. On the call, mgm't spoke about international opportunities more - with the CEO making this a high priority as the company sees timing as being ripe for monetization. This year remains a growth year, but expenses have thus far been managed well. One concern in the quarter is that ARPU remains low—~$27 per officer."
The firm maintained an Outperform rating and price target of $28.00 on TASR, below the current market price of around $30.
