Stifel analyst Thomas Stephan reiterated a Hold rating and $65.00 price target on TransMedics Group (NASDAQ: TMDX).
The analyst commented, "We estimate TMDX flight data points to 3Q26 total revenue of $185M-$190M, nicely above Street’s $178M—and while we expect a beat-and-raise on the upcoming print, we sense investors also anticipate this.Importantly, 3Q26 market growth and flight-implied OCS US volumes suggest TMDX’s rate of y/y share gains may have reaccelerated following softer share trends in 1H26.Although share gains are encouraging and incremental ENHANCE/ DENOVO revenues are on the come, our competition-related TMDX cautiousness is longer-term in nature: our XVIVO heart diligence was strongly positive, VitaSmart’s US ramp has been solid per our checks, and next-gen OrganOx (likely more portable) lies ahead—and we continue to view competition as a potential multi-year overhang on shares. Finally, while OMx/EPS cuts have hampered shares YTD, we believe the potential for further near-to-intermediate-term profitability revisions may not be adequately contemplated by investors. A 30x-35x multiple on $1.75 in 2027 EPS yields a ~$50-$60 stock."
