Stifel analyst Thomas Shrader reiterated a Buy rating and $69 price target on Intrexon (NYSE: XON) following results.
Shrader commented, "Interxon released 3Q15 numbers that included revenues of $53.4 million, EPS of ($0.34) and a cash & investments position of $352.6 million. Net income included a $30.4 million loss from unrealized depreciation in fair value of equity securities. In addition, revenue was a little higher than normal due to one-time items – recognition of previously deferred revenue related to collaboration agreements terminated during 2015. Upcoming catalysts we care most about are the details of the engineered T-Cell therapeutics in the works with ZIOPHARM, Merck KgA and the NCI as well as any updates on the ongoing efforts to improve isobutanol yields produced by methanotrophic bacteria. The company will host an analyst event on November 12th that should help investors understand more fully the details of this complex company."
