Medicines Co. (Nasdaq: MDCO) is positive on the session after reporting it met the primary endpoint for the SOLO-1 Phase 3 trial.

Leerink Swann is out with comments on the news today. Analyst Joseph Schwartz said the SOLO-1 results solidify potential for M&A or a partnership.

The treatment might get a preferred hospital formulary position on the potential for it to cut the length of hospital stays and overall costs.
