RBC Capital Markets maintains an Outperform rating on The Rubicon Project, Inc. (NYSE: RUBI), and raises the price target to $25 (from $24) after big Q1 results. RBC Capital Markets highlited RUBI as one of 20 small Cap 'Nets to have the least risk. As expected, RUBI reported managed revenue, revenue, and EBITDA, all above estimates. It is believed that RUBI's improved fundamentals were key.
Analyst Rohit Kulkarni from RBC Capital Markets comments that, "We think RUBI’s Q1 results provide hints of sustainable above-industry growth rates, driven by a combination of scale, leadership within the Ad-Tech space, and marketplace-style network effects. As highlighted by their consistent track record coupled with growing product and services momentum (Re-Targeting, DSP-style bidder, Mobile, Buyer initiatives, Video, & International), we think RUBI has the opportunity to “reinvent” advertising, and not just in digital channels – TV, radio, and billboards are all possible. We believe RUBI remains a best-in-class ad-tech company with an improved, profitable outlook."
