Piper Sandler analyst Alexander Potter reiterated an Overweight rating and $310.00 price target on Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA).
The analyst commented, "On balance, we think most trading-oriented firms will be underwhelmed by the robo-taxi unveiling. We wouldn't be surprised if the stock sells off in the coming weeks, as pre-event momentum fizzles. Don't get us wrong: Tesla is not deviating from its plans, and during the live-stream, it was difficult to suppress a smile. This company is irrefutably unique, and “true believers” (including us) have every reason to feel energized after the unveiling. But it's difficult to make upward revisions to 2025/2026 estimates — at least not with any degree of conviction — and in our view, many investors had expected this event to deliver something more concrete."
