Piper Sandler analyst Yasmeen Rahimi reiterated an Overweight rating and $93.00 price target on Structure Therapeutics (NASDAQ: GPCR).
The analyst commented, "TERN (not covered) unveiled topline data for its 28-day Ph1 study of TERN-601 (oral GLP-1), where patients achieved placebo- adjusted weight loss of up to 4.9%. Accordingly, we point out while this efficacy is comparable to GSBR-1290's placebo-adjusted weight loss of 4.9% on Day 28, GSBR-1290 achieved a more favorable GI tolerability profile across vomiting (50% vs 44-66.7% TERN-601) and constipation (16.7-33.3% vs 10-55.6% TERN-601) in a similar patient population. Considering GPCR is significantly ahead with 36-week Ph2b topline data expected in 4Q25, we also note GPCR is advancing its comprehensive oral small molecule portfolio across multiple MoAs (amylin, GIP-R, apelin, GCG-R). In particular, GPCR's amylin DC is set to be nominated in 4Q24, where we highlight this MoA has been clinically validated by ZEAL's (not covered) petrelintide/NVO's (not covered) amycretin and represents another key value driving opportunity for the name."
