Roth Capital analyst Joseph Pantginis reiterated a Buy rating and $4 price target on Palatin Technologies (NYSE: PTN), citing two major inflection points, which we believe continue to strengthen the BMT thesis:
1) Sprout's flibanserin is the first drug approved for female sexual dysfunction and
2) today's announcement of Valeant's (VRX) $1 billion acquisition of Sprout.
"We believe flibanserin faces selling issues with the Black Box warnings relative to BMT's strong safety profile and data, Pantginis commented. "The partnering/acquisition front for PTN could be quite interesting going forward."
