Leerink Partners analyst Gena Wang reiterated an Outperform rating and $56 price target on OvaScience (NASDAQ: OVAS) following Q4 results, noting the AUGMENT commercial launch is on track, with pipeline assets providing upside.
Wang commented, "While no commercial cycles reported in 4Q:14, OVAS is on track to deliver AUGMENT (improve in vitro fertilization) launch in 2015 in 5 regions (Turkey, UAE, Canada, UK, and Japan) with potential to expand to an additional country. Revenue for 2015 likely will be back-end loaded due to a delay in revenue recognition (see our prior note LINK, focus on cash balance) as well as commercial launch in UK, Japan, and potentially an additional country in 4Q:15. Although AUGMENT commercial launch (guided to 1,000 cycles) remains a key focus in 2015, as the initial launch gains some credibility, investors' attention would likely extend to OvaPrime (yield more mature eggs in ovary, launch by YE:15) and OvaTure (produce mature eggs in vitro, development path decision by YE:15), as both represent significant commercial opportunities."
